Full Job Description

CQC Home is a community-centered leader in whole-home renovation, kitchen remodeling, and bathroom remodeling across central North Carolina. We provide personalized service and visionary expertise to each client, bringing their dream homes to life with exceptional craftsmanship.

Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator is the operational backbone of the Production Department, responsible for preparing projects for construction by managing documentation, permits, material procurement, warehouse logistics, and warranty coordination.

This is a fully onsite role based at CQC HQ in Durham, NC (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). Candidates must reside locally and be able to commute daily.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or certifications from trade organizations preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in construction, purchasing, or project coordination.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials and supplies weighing up to 35–40 pounds as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Preparation Support

Review project documentation for completeness and cohesiveness.
Issue and track RFIs for missing information.
Attend handoff meetings and document action items.
Prepare jobsite binders and startup logistics.

Permit Administration

Verify permit packages are complete and ready for submission.
Submit applications to municipalities.
Respond to permit comments and requests for additional information.
Track permit status and communicate updates.

Material Procurement and Purchasing

Order materials accurately and on time.
Collaborate with Project Managers on takeoff-based orders.
Track deliveries and communicate delays.
Receive, label, and store materials.
Coordinate returns and credits.
Maintain accurate purchasing records.

Warehouse Management

Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials by project.
Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
Coordinate returns and disposition of non-returnable items.
Coordinate maintenance and cleanup.

Warranty Coordination

Receive and track all warranty claims.
Schedule clients, service technicians, and trade partners; coordinating carpentry, paint, and trade-related warranty work.
Document and close completed claims.

Project Execution Support

Coordinate inspections.
Maintain accurate project documentation.
Assist with project closeout tasks.

Reporting and Administrative Support

Assist with production and sales reports.
Track tools and equipment.
Ensure data integrity in company systems.

On-time material availability
Accuracy of orders
Warehouse organization
Warranty response time
Documentation completeness
Support effectiveness to Project Managers

Skills:

Understanding of project scopes and construction documentation.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Proficient with Buildertrend, Excel, and general office technology.
