Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our busy kitchen team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet health standards. Your efforts will help maintain a smooth workflow in a lively restaurant or catering environment, supporting chefs and food service staff to deliver top-quality experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically active, and eager to contribute to a clean and safe kitchen atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Efficiently wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques and sanitizing procedures.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient setup under supervision.
Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas stay tidy during service hours.
Follow all food safety management practices and sanitation standards to prevent contamination and ensure a safe environment.
Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of dish racks or cleaning supplies while adhering to safety guidelines.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning tools.
Maintain organization of dishware storage areas and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures is preferred.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy loads.
Familiarity with basic kitchen operations and cleanliness standards within a restaurant or catering setting.
Good communication skills to work effectively with team members across different shifts.
A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new skills related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.
