Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our Chicken Processing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards by performing comprehensive inspections, audits, and analyses. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with regulatory and legal standards, including FDA regulations and USDA regulations, while supporting continuous improvement in quality management systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality production processes and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Duties

Conduct thorough quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify adherence to specifications.
Perform regular quality audits across production lines to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols.
Collect and analyze data related to product quality, process performance, and defect rates to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, audit findings, and non-conformance reports in accordance with quality systems standards.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all inspection activities to promote safety in the manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with production teams to implement quality management practices that enhance product consistency and reliability.
Assist in training team members on QA/QC procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing setting, with a strong understanding of quality systems and processes.
Knowledge of regulatory/legal compliance standards such as FDA regulations, USDA regulations & standards, and other industry-specific quality requirements.
Demonstrated ability to perform detailed quality audits, inspections, and data collection with precision.
Strong analysis skills for interpreting inspection data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements.
Familiarity with manufacturing operations, quality management software, and documentation practices.
Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for reporting findings clearly.
Ability to work safely in an environment requiring PPE use while adhering to safety guidelines.
