We are a well-established large-sized floral business with seven locations throughout Chicago and the suburb. With a dedicated team of 90+ employees, we continue to grow while maintaining the same commitment to quality and service that has made us a trusted name in the floral industry.

Job Overview

Ashland Addison Florist is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Production Coordinator to oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.

The Event Production Coordinator serves as the bridge between the sales/design team and production team, ensuring every event is properly staffed, prepared, and executed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Coordinate event production and execution from order confirmation through event completion.
Schedule and manage freelance designers and event staff as needed.
Review event orders and production requirements with the design and production teams.
Ensure all floral product arrives on time and meets quality standards.
Coordinate with the hardgoods team to ensure all rentals, containers, candles, and décor items are pulled and prepared for events.
Assist stylists with sample meetings, mockups, and client presentations as needed.
Attend venue walk-throughs and planning meetings.
Create and maintain event timelines, production schedules, and setup plans.
Oversee event installations, ensuring quality standards are met.
Provide onsite event support and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Maintain accurate event records and communicate updates to all departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist with daily floral production and design operations as needed, including providing support during major holidays and peak business periods.

Qualifications

Experience in event production, event planning, floral operations, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
Ability to lift and move floral products, containers, and event materials as needed.
Must work additional days/hours during floral holidays/company blackout period (Valentine's, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.)

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
