Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Teacher specializing in working with children with special needs. In this rewarding role, you will design and deliver engaging piano lessons tailored to the unique learning styles of each child, fostering their musical growth and emotional development. Your expertise will help create a nurturing environment where children can explore their musical talents, build confidence, and experience the joy of music. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through creative arts instruction, combining your skills in music education with your commitment to inclusive teaching practices.

Languages: English and Spanish

Class locations: Pomona school or students’ homes

Requirements: Must be caring and highly patient

Duties

Develop individualized piano lesson plans that accommodate each child's abilities, interests, and developmental needs

Implement adaptive teaching strategies to support children with diverse learning styles and special needs

Incorporate curriculum development techniques to enhance musical skills, creativity, and emotional expression

Use classroom management skills to maintain a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment

Collaborate with caregivers, therapists, and educators to track progress and adjust lessons accordingly

Organize performance opportunities or small recitals that celebrate each child's progress and boost confidence

Requirements

Proven experience teaching music, specifically piano, to children with special needs or in inclusive settings

Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for early childhood or preschool education

Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and special education strategies

Experience working with children in various settings such as classrooms, therapy sessions, or youth programs

Skills in arts education including visual & performing arts,
