Full Job Description

Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively. This supervisory role requires a proactive approach to facilities management, project management, and team coordination.

Duties

Supervise and manage the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks.
Planning and supervising repairs and renovations to the physical property while ensuring safety and appropriately utilizing employees and/or vendors to achieve optimal outcomes.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
Oversee the tracking of work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Provide training and support to maintenance staff on best practices in mechanical and electrical systems.
Analyze schematics and technical drawings to guide repair work and ensure proper installation of equipment.

Experience

A successful candidate will possess at least 2 years of supervisory experience in building operations, with experience in a senior healthcare setting such as skilled nursing, assisted living, or hospice; regional or multi-site management required.
Experience in healthcare (SNF) is required.
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical systems.
A working knowledge of Federal and Florida regulations, building codes, and in particular the NFPA Life Safety Code is strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret schematics related to electrical systems.
