Full Job Description

Practice Manager Roles and Responsibilities

Manage daily clinic operations and ensure efficient patient flow.
Supervise front-office and back-office employees.
Prepare employee schedules and coordinate staffing coverage.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and staff evaluations.
Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, dress code, and workplace conduct.
Ensure staff follow clinic policies, procedures, and assigned workflows.
Address patient concerns and resolve service complaints.
Maintain a professional, safe, and welcoming environment.
Monitor appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collections.
Coordinate with billing staff regarding claim, eligibility, and documentation issues.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and report facility concerns.
Ensure required daily, weekly, and monthly logs are completed.
Support HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and workplace-safety compliance.
Protect patient privacy and confidential business information.
Coordinate communication between providers, employees, administration, billing, and vendors.
Assist providers with operational needs and schedule changes.
Conduct staff meetings and communicate policy or workflow updates.
Document employee coaching and disciplinary concerns and report serious matters to the administrator.
Track clinic performance, including wait times, patient satisfaction, staffing, collections, and productivity.
Report significant operational, personnel, compliance, or safety concerns to the Practice Administrator.
Perform other duties necessary to support safe and effective clinic operations.
