Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency medicine and be adept at providing high-quality patient care in fast-paced environments. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care while ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.

Duties

Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with various medical emergencies.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following aseptic techniques and safety standards.
Perform specimen collection processing and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide education to patients and families regarding home care, case management, and follow-up procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with hospital policies.
Stay current with best practices in emergency medicine, including toddler care and ophthalmology when necessary.

Experience
Candidates should have the following qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
Proven experience in emergency medicine or related fields is preferred.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques, standards of care, and specimen collection processing.
Requires current American Heart Association, BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Prefer NRP and NIHSS Certifications.
