Full Job Description

Executive Construction Homes, LLC is a multi-award-winning home builder recognized by the Greater Columbia Home Builders Association, with an established presence throughout the Columbia, SC area. Our land development division specializes in site work, land clearing, grading, erosion control, and infrastructure installation for residential subdivision development projects.

As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and dependable Erosion Control Crew Team Leader/Manager to oversee erosion control operations within our land development division.

The Erosion Control Crew Team Leader/Manager will oversee daily erosion and sediment control operations across multiple land development sites, supervising a minimum of three crews consisting of 2–3 team members each. This role is responsible for ensuring all erosion control measures are properly installed, maintained, and compliant with approved Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).

This position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of erosion control regulations, Best Management Practices (BMPs), and field operations. The ideal candidate is capable of managing multiple active job sites while maintaining safety, productivity, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily erosion control operations across multiple residential land development projects.
Supervise and coordinate multiple field crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.
Ensure adherence to SWPPP requirements, BMPs, and all applicable environmental regulations.
Conduct site inspections, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain production goals and project timelines.
Work closely with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and developers to address site conditions and compliance requirements.
Train and mentor crew members on erosion control practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Operate and oversee the use of skid steers, mini excavators, hydroseeders, and other erosion control equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate inspection reports, daily logs, and project documentation.
Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment while ensuring proper care of company equipment and materials.

Qualifications

SWPPP Certification preferred but not required
Experience managing erosion control operations, site work, or land development projects.
Strong knowledge of erosion and sediment control regulations, BMPs, and SWPPP compliance requirements.
Ability to read and interpret site plans, grading plans, and erosion control drawings.
Proven leadership experience supervising field crews and coordinating work across multiple job sites.
Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, hydroseeders, or similar construction equipment preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Reliable attendance and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the position when required.
