Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by performing a variety of financial and administrative tasks, including processing invoices, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
Verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
Prepare and process checks, electronic payments, and deposits.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
Generate financial reports and assist with audits as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or clerical experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus.
Strong data entry, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
