Full Job Description

S & G Manufacturing Group is a custom metal fabrication and woodworking company specializing in made-to-order furnishings and millwork for the restaurant, retail, and hospitality industries.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Front Desk Coordinator to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for processing accounts payable related to materials, vendors, and services while serving as the primary point of contact for visitors, drivers, vendors, and callers. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (Manufacturing Focus)

Process vendor invoices for raw materials, shop supplies, equipment, and outside services
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
Verify pricing, quantities, and freight charges
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments
Maintain organized AP files in accordance with company and audit requirements
Support month-end close and assist with audits as needed

Front Desk & Office Support

Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers professionally
Answer and route incoming phone calls and emails
Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and freight paperwork
Maintain office and breakroom supplies
Support accounting, HR, and operations with administrative tasks
Assist with filing, data entry, and document management

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or business preferred
1–3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience working with purchase orders and inventory-related invoices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and customer service skills

Professional demeanor with vendors and visitors
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
Team-oriented with a dependable work ethic

Work Environment

Office setting within a manufacturing facility
Frequent interaction with production, purchasing, and shipping/receiving teams
Occasional exposure to shop floor noise and activity
