Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Behavioral Specialist to join our dynamic team in supporting individuals with developmental and neurodevelopmental disorders. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, conduct client assessments, and develop personalized skill acquisition programs to promote positive growth and independence. Your expertise will directly impact the lives of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders, behavioral challenges, and other disabilities, fostering a supportive environment that encourages progress and well-being.

Responsibilities:

Collect, analyze, and document data related to client behaviors, progress, and treatment outcomes to inform ongoing care plans.
Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate treatment approaches for new clients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including educators, medical professionals, and families—to develop comprehensive support plans.
Provide direct behavioral therapy sessions to children and adults, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines while maintaining a positive therapeutic environment.
Maintain accurate medical records, documentation of patient care activities, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
Support clients' behavioral health needs by addressing behavioral disorders support requirements with patience, professionalism, and empathy.

Skills

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders.
Proficiency in data collection methods, medical documentation, medical terminology, and maintaining detailed medical records.
Ability to perform patient assessments, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and support behavioral health initiatives.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to engage children effectively while collaborating with families and team members.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of all medical records and patient information.
Experience working in special education or related fields supporting behavioral disorders is highly desirable.
