Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting orthodontists in delivering high-quality treatment. This position requires a blend of technical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.

Duties

Assist orthodontists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for orthodontic procedures.
Take and develop X-rays as needed for treatment planning.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for all patients.
Utilize 3D scanners to capture precise dental impressions.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice.

Requirements

Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures, particularly in orthodontics.
Familiarity with prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and medical coding is a plus.
Proficiency in using X-ray equipment and 3D scanning technology.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
