Infant Teacher

Heart + Harmony Kids | Hilliard, Ohio

Heart + Harmony Kids is looking for a dependable, caring Infant Teacher who understands that caring for babies is much more than following a schedule. Infants need patience, consistency, comfort and teachers who pay attention to the small things.

We are a locally owned childcare center in Hilliard. We opened Heart + Harmony Kids because we believed families deserved a childcare option built around thoughtful care, honest communication and respect for both children and parents.

We are not a large corporate center where employees and families are treated like numbers. Our owners are actively involved, our leadership team is accessible and we work hard to create a center where good teachers feel supported and appreciated.

What You Will Do

As an Infant Teacher, you will help create a calm, safe and nurturing classroom where babies feel secure and families feel confident leaving their children in our care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing attentive and affectionate care to infants
Following feeding, diapering, sleeping and classroom schedules
Creating age-appropriate sensory, movement and developmental activities
Maintaining a clean, organized and safe classroom
Documenting feedings, diapers, naps, activities and important updates in Brightwheel
Communicating honestly and professionally with families
Building strong, trusting relationships with infants and their parents
Working closely with your co-teachers and center leadership
Following all Ohio childcare licensing requirements and center policies
Speaking up when you notice a concern or see a process that could be improved

Communicates respectfully with parents, coworkers and leadership
Can remain calm during busy or challenging moments
Takes cleanliness, supervision and infant safety seriously
Is comfortable giving and receiving direct feedback
Wants to be part of a center where their contribution matters

Previous infant classroom experience is preferred, but we will also consider candidates with strong childcare experience, the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

Candidates must meet all Ohio childcare employment requirements, including required background checks and training.
