Full Job Description

Role Overview

We are currently looking for skilled Travel CNC Machinists to assist various manufacturing plants across the country through both brief and extended contract placements. You will be responsible for the configuration, operation, and upkeep of CNC equipment to manufacture high-precision components that align with strict production, quality, and safety benchmarks. We are looking for dependable, adaptable professionals who thrive in dynamic, contract-driven settings.

Primary Duties

Configure and run CNC milling or turning centers by following technical blueprints and project requirements
Execute necessary tool adjustments, offset modifications, and minor program tweaks directly at the control
Manage the loading of raw stock and the removal of completed components
Verify part quality and tolerance adherence by utilizing precision inspection instrumentation
Resolve technical challenges related to machining processes and tooling performance
Ensure the workspace remains organized and hazard-free to support team efficiency
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and site-specific operational guidelines
Adjust rapidly to diverse shop layouts, unique machinery, and varying workflows

Essential Requirements

Completion of high school or equivalent education
Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with CNC Lathes or Mills
Proficiency in analyzing and applying blueprints and GD&T standards
Expertise in utilizing standard measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, and various gauges
Familiarity with industry-standard CNC controllers such as Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Siemens
Openness to frequent travel and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule including overtime

Preferred Qualifications

Comprehensive experience with full machine setups
Proven capability in multi-axis machining operations
Professional history within medical, oil and gas, defense, or aerospace sectors
Demonstrated ability to perform tasks autonomously with limited oversight
