Full Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a Project Engineer to support some of the largest, most complex infrastructure projects in the company. This role sits at the center of engineering, construction, and project execution—helping design and integrate systems that bring large industrial facilities to life.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to coordinate design, support construction, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical, electrical, or process engineering background who enjoys working across teams and seeing projects through from design to execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts (mechanical, electrical, structural, controls) across EPC projects
Oversee and manage engineering design activities and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project scope
Partner with Project Managers on planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for engineering work
Help design and integrate equipment and systems into large industrial facilities
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to establish design criteria and meet project requirements
Support procurement, commissioning, and startup activities, including vendor data review and approvals
Track project progress, identify risks, and support change management and cost/schedule adjustments
Lead recurring design coordination meetings to ensure alignment across disciplines
Provide field support and site coordination through RFIs and ongoing communication
Ensure adherence to quality standards, processes, and documentation requirements

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET accredited)
5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects in an EPC or similar environment
Background in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering (civil focus is less relevant)
Experience supporting industrial construction projects (light to heavy industrial)
Not focused on residential, commercial, or traditional manufacturing environments
Experience working with equipment integration / Balance of Plant scopes
Strong understanding of project lifecycle: design, procurement, construction, commissioning
Ability to manage multiple projects at once (ranging from shorter efforts to multi-year projects)
Strong communication skills working with clients, engineers, and cross-functional teams
Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Nice to Have

Experience with material handling systems or abrasive blasting equipment
Background in shipyard or heavy industrial facility projects

Work Environment & Travel

Onsite in Columbus, OH (Monday–Friday, typical hours between 7am–5pm)
~20% travel for job site visits and client meetings
Ability to navigate active job sites (stairs, ladders, etc.)
