Someone with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
An MBA or CPA is preferred but not required
Five years’ experience managing complex finances, operations and strategies required
Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels.
Ability to make business projections three years into the future.
Experience with financial statement preparation, presentations, and cash flow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Accounting Manager reports directly to the CFO and works closely with the finance team and department managers throughout the organization. The accounting manager will lead all accounting, financial analysis and financial statement preparation for the business including presentations and reporting tools. This position should have strong financial and accounting knowledge, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management

Partner with the CFO to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, vision, and processes.
Monitor financial trends, risks, and opportunities to support short- and long-term business planning.
Develop and oversee budgets, financial benchmarks, KPIs, and reporting standards.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and budget-to-actual variances.
Maintain accurate accounting practices, internal controls, and GAAP compliance.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial, tax, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee tax planning, regulatory reporting, and relationships with outside financial and regulatory advisors.
Provide timely financial and operational reporting and analysis to the CFO, President, and Board of Directors.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, efficiency, and financial performance.
Monitor company costs, cash flow, A/R, A/P, credit, and overall financial risk.
Translate financial data into actionable recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
Lead and manage the Finance team, including hiring, training, performance management, development, and retention.
Delegate responsibilities effectively and build a strong, capable Finance team.
Work with vendors and outside partners to maintain accurate records and required documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline required
MBA and/or CPA preferred
Five years’ experience managing complex finances, operations and strategies required
Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels.
Ability to make business projections three years into the future.
Experience with financial statement preparation, presentations, and cash flow.
Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
Ability to inspire confidence, create trust and promote a positive work environment
Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate.
