We're looking for an experienced Senior Carpenter who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys working hands-on, and can help guide other carpenters on residential remodeling projects. This is a working field role involving skilled carpentry, job-site coordination, mentoring, and maintaining high standards for quality and safety.
Perform Skilled Carpentry

Perform framing, cabinetry installation, trim carpentry, finish carpentry, and other residential construction work.

Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.

Complete work according to design intent, building codes, and company quality standards.

Troubleshoot construction challenges and develop practical field solutions.

Maintain excellent attention to detail throughout each project.

Coordinate with inspectors as needed.
Lead & Coordinate the Job Site

Help coordinate carpentry crews and daily job-site activities.

Assign tasks and help keep projects moving according to schedule.

Mentor apprentice and junior carpenters and support their development.

Lead by example while maintaining a safe, productive, and professional job site.

Communicate project needs, challenges, and progress with the appropriate team members.
Support Project Success

Work closely with Project Managers, Production Managers, subcontractors, and trade partners.

Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and used efficiently.

Maintain accurate job-site documentation, including labor hours and material usage.

Identify potential issues early and help resolve them before they affect quality or schedule.

Keep work areas organized and projects progressing efficiently.
Maintain Quality & Safety

Inspect completed and in-progress work for quality and accuracy.

Follow OSHA standards and company safety policies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.

Take ownership of workmanship and strive to complete work correctly the first time.
The ideal candidate is an experienced residential or remodeling carpenter with strong technical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to guide others in the field.
Required Qualifications

5+ years of residential carpentry, remodeling, or construction experience.

Strong hands-on experience with residential remodeling and renovation.

Knowledge of framing, trim carpentry, finish work, cabinetry installation, and residential construction methods.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

Experience mentoring, leading, or coordinating other carpenters or field team members.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working knowledge of building codes and job-site safety.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to travel between local project sites.

Smartphone for project communication and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications

Carpentry or construction training or certification.

Experience with a residential remodeling or design-build company.

Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction software.

Experience with high-end or custom residential remodeling.
