About the Role
We’re an independent insurance agency looking for a detail‑driven, people‑focused professional to support our growing book of Farm, Property & Casualty business. This role blends customer service, data entry, and policy support—ideal for someone who enjoys helping clients, staying organized, and has a practical understanding of rural or agricultural environments.

In this role, you will specifically assist clients with Farm policies. A strong familiarity or comfort level with basic farming equipment (such as tractors, combines, and implements) and agricultural structures (like barns, silos, and outbuildings) is highly valued, as you will be discussing these assets regularly with our insureds.

What You’ll Do

Provide friendly, professional customer service via phone, email, and in‑person interactions.
Enter and maintain accurate policy data, endorsements, and equipment schedules in agency management systems.
Assist clients with billing questions, certificates of insurance, and basic policy servicing for agricultural operations.
Support agents with quoting, renewals, and underwriting requirements for farm and ranch exposures.
Review policy details to ensure farming equipment and structures are accurately documented.
Maintain organized digital files and follow agency compliance standards.
Communicate with carriers to process changes, request information, and resolve underwriting issues.

What We’re Looking For

Agricultural Familiarity: Comfort and familiarity with basic farming equipment, machinery, and agricultural buildings to better understand our clients' operational needs.
Professional Experience: Background in insurance, customer service, or administrative/data entry roles.
Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy—especially when entering complex policy data and equipment schedules.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer‑first mindset.
Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Tech Savvy: Comfort working with computers, agency management systems, and digital workflows.
Growth Mindset: A positive attitude and willingness to learn insurance processes and specialized farm lines terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong Customer Service and Data Entry experience
Ohio P&C license (must be willing to obtain within 90 days of hire) required.
