Full Job Description

Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking a QA Supervisor to join their team. As a QA Supervisor, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting food safety and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: QA Supervisor

Location:Columbus, Ohio

Pay Range:$80,000 - $85,000

What's the Job?

Implement and oversee Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Maintain and monitor the food safety system, driving continuous improvements in product quality and safety.
Ensure compliance with USDA regulatory requirements and serve as the primary contact for USDA inspectors.
Coordinate USDA sampling and testing activities, addressing non-compliance issues promptly.
Lead and facilitate internal audits, manage positive E. coli events, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure food safety standards are met.

What's Needed?

Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field, or 5 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety leadership.
HACCP certification and experience with GFSI food safety standards (BRC preferred).
Knowledge of USDA regulations, food safety principles, and sanitation practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and strong organizational skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.
