Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Fabric Cutting Technician to join our production team!

This role is responsible for operating automated fabric cutting equipment, preparing materials for sewing operations, maintaining inventory, and ensuring products are cut accurately to specifications. We’re looking for an individual who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and contributing to a safe, efficient production environment.

Required Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and production specifications
Comfortable identifying discrepancies and seeking clarification when needed
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment troubleshooting skills
Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the workday
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 70 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CNC software or machine interfaces
Experience in textiles, industrial sewing, fabric, or manufacturing environments
Knowledge of material nesting and waste-reduction techniques

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Production Preparation

Gather materials required for production and sewing operations
Review work orders, drawings, instructions, and cut files
Verify materials, dimensions, labels, Velcro, and other required components
Confirm measurements and work order accuracy before cutting
Communicate production concerns or discrepancies to management
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce material waste

Equipment Operation

Operate Carlson automated cutting equipment to cut and mark fabric according to specifications
Verify finished cut pieces meet work order and cut file requirements
Apply graphics and markings using heat-seal processes and SGS film
Operate webbing and elastic cutting equipment as needed

Equipment Maintenance

Perform routine calibration, preventive maintenance, and scheduled monthly maintenance

Inventory Management

Monitor material inventory levels and notify management when stock is low

Housekeeping & Organization

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized cutting area
Remove production trash and recycling
Assist with routine cleaning and facility upkeep

Hours

Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
