Kappus Company is seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to grow and support our business throughout Central and Southeast Ohio.

This position offers an established customer base and existing territory while providing significant opportunity to develop new business and expand market share. The successful candidate will represent some of the foodservice industry’s most respected equipment manufacturers, including Taylor, Henny Penny, Middleby Marshall, Icetro, Flavor Burst, and Emery Thompson.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving measurable business results.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage and grow an established sales territory throughout Central and Southeast Ohio.
Develop new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
Sell across multiple customer channels including end users, chain accounts, dealers, broadline distributors, and design consultants.
Identify customer needs and recommend equipment solutions that improve operational performance and profitability.
Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and account management.
Conduct equipment demonstrations, presentations, and customer training when appropriate.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful equipment ordering, delivery, installation, startup, and customer support.
Utilize CRM tools to manage opportunities, track activities, and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
Build strong relationships with manufacturer partners and stay current on product offerings, promotions, and industry trends.
Represent Kappus professionally at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and association functions.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by delivering exceptional service before, during, and after the sale.
Consistently achieve sales, margin, and market share objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Professional presence and customer-first mindset.
Experience using Auto Quotes is a plus.

Background and Experience

Minimum 5-7 years of outside sales experience.
Experience in foodservice equipment, restaurant operations, commercial foodservice, beverage equipment, hospitality, distribution, or a related industry preferred.
Proven history of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
Experience managing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Education and Experience

College degree required
5-7 years working in a sales environment, preferably within foodservice equipment
Ability to judge and manage project timelines – coordinating lead times to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and without close supervision; willing and able to consistently work the schedule required by the job demands.
Ability to lead others through change and a dynamic environment.
