Full Job Description

About the Role

As a Data Center Infrastructure Lead, you will spearhead the execution of mission-critical network cabling and hardware installation projects. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing onsite teams, and ensuring that all infrastructure deployments meet rigorous quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Direct onsite project execution by coordinating with field engineers, contractors, and project management to meet strict milestones.
Oversee labor productivity and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within scope.
Conduct thorough quality assurance inspections to ensure all installations align with client specifications and industry best practices.
Mentor and develop team members by identifying strengths and recommending training to enhance technical capabilities.
Manage site safety protocols, ensuring all team members adhere to regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Validate project data, track efficiency metrics, and maintain comprehensive documentation for all build activities.
Collaborate on technical design reviews and support the deployment of next-generation infrastructure technologies.

Qualifications

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in large-scale data center cabling, rack infrastructure, and project leadership.
Proven ability to manage multiple crews and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, portmaps, and technical drawings.
Strong technical knowledge of copper and fiber installation, termination, and troubleshooting.
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically for project tracking and documentation.
Clear and effective communication skills for both internal team coordination and client-facing interactions.

Preferred Skills

Active certifications such as BICSI or FOA (Certified Fiber Installer).
Demonstrated experience in documenting project lessons learned and process improvements.
Advanced understanding of local building codes and infrastructure installation standards.
