Hours: 36 hrs/wk

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Ohio, requiring cardiac ICU expertise and proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring equipment.

Details

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
36 hours per week
13-week contract
CVICU setting within a dedicated heart hospital
Estimated patient ratio of 1:1–2
Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period; Friday/Saturday nights for night shift
Rotating holiday coverage required
Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Epic EMR — experience required
Skills required: IV start, telemetry, mechanical ventilation, Swan-Ganz catheter (PA lines), conscious sedation, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)

Requirements

Active OH RN license or Compact RN license (must be active at time of consideration)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
Experience with telemetry, vents, Swan-Ganz/PA lines, balloon pumps, and conscious sedation required
Epic EMR experience required
2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference — no coworker references accepted
Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

Local candidates are accepted
Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply after a 6-month separation period
Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with your profile and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
