ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and assist in the preparation of conceptual, schematic, and final project budgets.
Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and coordination.
Support bid-day preparation, leveling, clarifications, and scope alignment.
Assist in developing project scopes, bid packages, and preconstruction handoff documentation.
Maintain consistency, quality, and accuracy across all preconstruction deliverables.
Contribute to estimating standards, historical cost data, and continuous improvement efforts.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
2+ years of estimating, project engineering, or residential construction experience (custom home experience preferred).
Exposure to custom residential construction is preferred.
Competence with Excel spreadsheets, Bluebeam, takeoff tools, and construction software.
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam or construction Estimating / Takeoff software.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow into a preconstruction-focused role.
Prior field experience or regular jobsite exposure is required, with an understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and constructability considerations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

We believe in rewarding hard work and dedication. The annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
