Full Job Description

One of our clients in the government domain is seeking a Senior Salesforce Software Test Engineer with 3+ years of experience testing Salesforce applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and system testing documentation, along with experience in functional, regression, performance, load, and user acceptance testing. Experience with Azure DevOps, Agile/SDLC practices, defect tracking, and mentoring testing teams is highly valued.

Duties/Responsibilities

Assures requirements are defined, documented, and approved; performs code reviews and ensures agency application development standards are met.
Works with business area personnel to thoroughly define and approve requirements, performs impact analysis to identify interdependencies, and assists with design reviews.
Performs code reviews and serves as a technical lead, as assigned.
Creates detailed test designs and test plans and creates and reviews test data for test scenarios.
Coordinates and conducts unit and system test script execution.
Coordinates and conducts debugging efforts and defect tracking.
Coordinates and supports user acceptance testing (UAT).
Coordinates, conducts, and supports software implementation and deployment activities.
Leads and performs the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT quality assurance standards and testing.
Performs performance, regression, and load testing.
Develops, reviews, and coordinates application-related training materials and software user guides.
Develops and maintains program and application source code documentation, including use cases and inline code comments.
Develops and documents departmental standards, appropriate programming standards, and system development lifecycle activities.
Reviews software development lifecycle activities.
Assists higher-level IT staff with workload estimation and project planning activities.
Designs and performs system analysis, recommends application solutions, tests and corrects programs, and assists IT staff with documentation.
Performs software implementation tasks, including source control and deployment activities.
Develops software testing and automation procedures and performs analysis and design.
Reads, writes, extracts, and/or reports from compound files.
Works with business personnel to identify and document system software requirements.
Defines problems and develops potential solutions.
Performs post-production support for business applications, including routine maintenance, enhancements, and research to troubleshoot software production errors.
Identifies alternate courses of action, evaluates software development methodologies, and completes software security scans and vulnerability reporting.
Conducts performance testing and benchmarks software application response times, including analysis and reporting of performance measures.
Communicates effectively with peers and other stakeholders and collaborates proactively.
Guides the performance of software development tasks based on verbal instructions.
Provides technical guidance and answers questions to assist technical staff with software development.
Exchanges information with technical staff and business personnel through discussions involving database, infrastructure, and application information.
Leads discussions and formal meetings with technical and nontechnical personnel on simple to moderate technical topics supporting software development.
Summarizes technical information in writing related to database, infrastructure, and application development.
Provides written recommendations and conclusions to support decision-making.
Gathers, interprets, and applies information from various sources to support software development activities.
Provides informal mentorship and technical guidance to peers and lower-level staff through conversation, observation, and technical documentation.
Uses Azure DevOps for documentation, iterative development collaboration, task management, system testing, and reporting.
Demonstrates solid understanding of Agile, Iterative, and Traditional Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and standards as they relate to testing activities.
Provides training, coaching, and mentoring to testing team members.

3+ years of experience as a Software Tester specifically for Salesforce applications.
Ability to independently develop testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and proper system testing documentation for new Salesforce applications.

Required Skills:

Solid understanding of Agile, Iterative, and Traditional Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and standards as they relate to testing activities
Understanding and experience using Azure DevOps for documentation, iterative development collaboration, task management, and other related functions
