Full Job Description

Job Overview
Slip Tech is seeking a dynamic and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling high-quality concrete paving slipform molds. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing MIG welding techniques and fabrication skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has an eye for craftsmanship, and has mechanical aptitude.

Duties

Read and interpret CAD drawings, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal components.
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding.
Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other metal equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials according to project specifications.
Measure materials accurately with a tape measure, calipers, micrometers, and other tools; perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations.
Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials safely within the workspace or construction site.
Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocols related to welding fumes, fire hazards, and proper handling of tools and materials.
Collaborate with team members on-site or in the shop to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

Proven construction site experience working with metal fabrication or welding projects in a fast-paced environment.
Hands-on experience with MIG welding.
Familiarity with CAD drawings for precise fabrication work.
Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brakes, and machining equipment confidently.
Basic math skills including measurements with tape measure, calipers/micrometers.
Self-starter willing to take on new projects, ask questions, and listen to directions

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
