Communities In Schools of Ohio
Location: Assigned School Location, Columbus
Employment Type: Full-Time, Regular
Reports To: Program Director

Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

Communities In Schools of Ohio is seeking a dedicated and relationship-driven School Site Coordinator to help students overcome barriers and achieve success in school and beyond.

The School Site Coordinator works directly within an assigned school to implement the Communities In Schools model of integrated student supports and whole-child services. This position builds strong relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners while coordinating resources that address attendance, behavior, academic, and social-emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct an annual school needs assessment using school data, surveys, stakeholder feedback, and prior-year results.
Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate a comprehensive School Support Plan aligned with the school’s improvement goals.
Coordinate school-wide prevention and enrichment services for students and families.
Identify and provide targeted, sustained support to students facing the greatest barriers to academic success.
Develop individualized student support plans in collaboration with students, families, and school staff.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with school administrators, teachers, parents, volunteers, and community organizations.
Lead or support a site-based team responsible for coordinating services and resources.
Monitor student progress and adjust services to improve outcomes.
Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential student and service records.
Complete required data entry and reporting, including monthly updates and end-of-year reports.
Participate actively in organizational meetings, professional development, and agency-wide initiatives.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, human services, psychology, or a related field preferred.
An associate degree combined with significant relevant experience may be considered.
At least three years of experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds.
Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, schools, or community organizations is highly valued.

Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
Reliable transportation for work-related travel, meetings, and community engagement.
