Full Job Description

CNC Lathe Machinist

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00/hour DOE
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: In Person

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who is confident setting up and operating CNC lathes, reading complex blueprints, and producing high-quality precision components.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and experienced with machining a variety of materials in a production environment.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and adjust CNC lathes to produce precision-machined parts
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate production
Perform machine maintenance including preventative maintenance, fluid changes, and operational adjustments
Read, write, and adjust G-Code programs as needed
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify quality and specifications
Machine a variety of materials including low carbon steel, stainless steel, high carbon steel, aluminum, and other alloys
Prepare completed parts for shipment while maintaining a clean and organized work area
Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to improve efficiency and part quality

Qualifications

2+ years of experience operating CNC lathes
Strong blueprint reading and print interpretation skills
Ability to independently complete CNC machine setups
Experience reading, writing, and adjusting G-Code
Experience machining a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
Ability to use precision measuring equipment and inspect finished parts
Must have personal tools required to perform machining duties
Experience with Mastercam or Fusion 360 programming is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to stand, walk, and use hands throughout the workday
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and industrial materials
Must be comfortable working around CNC equipment and other manufacturing processes
