Fabrication Estimator/Technical Sales Erie, PA | Full-Time

About You: As an experienced manufacturing professional, you have a strong technical background, understand machining, fabrication and welding. You excel at evaluating technical drawings, production needs, and crafting precise cost estimates. You are highly organized, reliable, and adept at balancing multiple priorities with unwavering accuracy. With strong communication skills, you easily connect with both clients and internal teams to deliver outstanding service and cultivate lasting working relationships.

Job Summary:

Generate precise pricing, routings, and material lists directly from customer blueprints while coordinating with internal manufacturing teams to bring quotes to life. In this position, you'll rely on your technical know-how, strong communication skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities at once.

Day in the Life:

As Fabrication Estimator, you can expect to:

Review customer RFQs, blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Analyze labor, material, machining, fabrication, and welding requirements
Figure set-ups and run times based from customer specs
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations
Collaborate with production scheduling, programming, plant management and others to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors as needed
Communicate with customers to answer questions and clarify project requirements
Manage multiple quoting opportunities while meeting customer deadlines
Support customers in identifying practical manufacturing solutions
Build strong customer relationships through responsive, professional service
Verify job routings, materials and applicable Requisition Forms at time of Purchase Order
Perform other duties as assigned by management

What You Need to Apply:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Welding Technology, or a related field preferred but not required
Experience in machining, manufacturing, fabrication, welding, estimating, manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, or a related technical field
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
