The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business Career Management Center is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Recruiting & Operations Coordinator to support recruiting, employer engagement initiatives, career programming, and career fairs for undergraduate, MBA and specialized master's students.
This role serves as a key operational partner to employers, students, alumni, and career management staff by overseeing recruiting platforms, coordinating large-scale events, managing communications, and ensuring the seamless execution of recruiting activities.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where multiple priorities must be managed simultaneously.

Support the Assistant Director of Recruiting & Employer Engagement with recruiting initiatives and special projects.

Support daily Career Development operations for undergraduate, MBA, and specialty Masters’ programs.

Manage job postings, events, and interview schedules using Handshake and 12Twenty.

Coordinate and execute career-related programming

Assist with all event logistics, scheduling, communications, and employer support.

Maintain accurate employer, recruiting, and event records in Salesforce and Handshake.

Promote jobs, internships, employer events, and recruiting opportunities through various communication channels.

Develop and distribute weekly student newsletters

Monitor recruiting and hiring trends to help improve services for students and employers.

Serve as a resource for employers and students by providing timely information and support throughout the recruiting process.

Assist with the administration and distribution of funding for summer internships and career exploration programs.

Associate degree with 2-4 years of experience

Knowledge of computer software systems, including Microsoft Office, survey tools, and Zoom.

Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, such as Salesforce.

Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and priorities.

Must be able to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

Must be accurate, methodical, well-spoken, and proficient in spelling, grammar, and proofreading.

Have the ability to work well with others while creating a high-quality and respectful work environment.

Requires a high level of initiative, motivation, independent judgment, decision-making, and commitment to precision and accuracy while maintaining a positive, professional attitude and strong customer-service orientation.

This position is based in Ithaca, New York, however, the successful applicant may perform this role remotely anywhere within the United States. Employees who work remotely may receive multiple W-2 Forms depending on their work location. The New York Convenience of employer guidelines require New York State individual tax reporting and withholding for this position. Additional individual state income tax filings may also be required if working temporarily outside of New York State.
