Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Compounding Manager to lead our manufacturing operations focused on the preparation of specialized formulations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire compounding process, ensuring products meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement within the production environment, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a skilled team while maintaining compliance with industry standards such as CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).

Essential Job Responsibilities

Manages and supervises the manufacturing staff involved in the compounding process.
Monitors and enforces cleaning, sanitizing, and safety procedures for batching equipment as per written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI).
Promotes a culture of safety throughout the plant and enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Conducts regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Oversees the preparation and compounding of products, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
Manage raw chemical inventory to ensure availability for production, maintain accurate records of inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts of inventory.
Interacts with customers during trial/test formula batches and procedures as well as physical inventories.
Manages processed water systems and daily water samples.
Ensures that compounded products meet quality and safety standards.
Provides training and support to staff on compounding procedures and safety practices.
Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Addresses and resolves any issues that arise during the compounding process.
Implements improvements in the compounding process to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience

High School Diploma or GED
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
10+ years direct or cumulative work experience may substitute for formal education.

Physical Requirements

Must be comfortable sitting, standing, bending, lifting, reaching, and walking without restriction repeatedly over the course of a shift.

Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Must be able to work in a demanding environment.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions indoors and outdoors including exposure to chemicals. (only if the job requires working in the Production area)
