Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vietnamese/English Caregiver to deliver exceptional personal care and support to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, along with a genuine passion for assisting individuals with diverse needs. This role involves providing comprehensive care that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being in a home or community setting.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and cooking.
Support clients with medication administration according to prescribed care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the living space.
Utilize patient observation skills to identify potential health concerns or behavioral changes, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Use appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to assist with heavy lifting or mobility needs safely.

Skills

Fluency in both Vietnamese and English languages for effective communication with clients and families.
Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments.
Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and basic patient monitoring techniques.
Familiarity with dementia care, memory care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and meal preparation while adhering to safety standards.
Understanding of care plans, medication administration protocols, and patient safety procedures such as vital signs monitoring.
Compassionate attitude combined with strong organizational skills necessary for long-term caregiving roles involving social work or home health services.
