Full Job Description

We are seeking a full-time and a part-time Bookstore Clerk at the Graymoor Book and Gift Shop, located in Garrison, NY Wednesdays - Sundays.

Job Duties

Perform cashiering duties.
Answer telephone and sales counter inquiries.
Assist with receiving merchandise, books and instructional materials
Assistance with inventory by straightening, filling, and re-stocking of bookstore sales floor.
Receiving, pricing, and displaying of merchandise as directed.
Assist with annual bookstore inventory.
Physical receiving of merchandise and books.
Other duties as assigned by Bookstore Manager.

Qualifications

Retail or customer service experience

Experience with computers and Microsoft Office Programs.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Shopify and social media promotion experience a plus.

Summary

As a Bookstore Retail Clerk, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Your core skills in retail sales, cash handling, and communication will enable you to assist customers effectively and manage transactions accurately. Additionally, your proficiency in Microsoft Office will support inventory management and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our bookstore. Join our team and contribute to a vibrant literary ministry.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
