Full Job Description

Location: Fairhaven, MA
Position: Part-Time | In-Person
Pay: $18/hour

Permanent Schedule

Applicants must be consistently available for:

Monday: 8:45 AM–11:15 AM
Wednesday: 8:45 AM–11:15 AM
Saturday: 8:45 AM–11:30 AM

These permanent hours are non-negotiable.

Applicants must also have some evening availability for initial and ongoing training purposes.

We are ideally looking for someone who can also serve as a floater when needed, helping cover occasional shifts at our Somerset, MA and Bristol, RI academies. Additional shifts are not guaranteed, but flexibility may provide opportunities for extra hours.

About the Position

Danny Savery Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is looking for a friendly, reliable, and experienced Front Desk Team Member for our Fairhaven academy.

This is a busy, customer-facing operations role involving member and parent support, lead follow-up, memberships, sales, scheduling, communication, and general academy upkeep.

This is not a coaching position, and employees may not train during their scheduled shift.

Experience Required

This is not an entry-level position. Previous experience in front desk, office/administrative work, customer service, sales, or another customer-facing role is required.

Applicants should be comfortable:

Answering phones, texts, and emails professionally
Scheduling appointments and learning administrative systems
Speaking with students, parents, and prospective members
Handling memberships, payments, sales, and account questions
Following up with leads by phone, text, and email
Staying organized and professional in a busy environment
Communicating clearly with strong written grammar
Facility cleaning and upkeep daily

Responsibilities

Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors
Answer calls, texts, and emails
Book introductory lessons and follow up with leads
Assist with memberships, payments, and pro shop sales
Support coaches and daily academy operations
Maintain an organized front desk and facility
Complete assigned tasks and end-of-shift responsibilities
Assist with cleaning, including mats, bathrooms, lobby areas, and trash
Help cover other academy locations when available

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

Friendly, dependable, organized, professional, comfortable with soft sales, able to multitask, willing to take initiative, and able to follow established procedures.

Reliable transportation and flexibility to occasionally work at our Somerset, MA and Bristol, RI locations are strongly preferred.

Are you comfortable working independently and managing a busy front desk that may include phones, parents, students, leads, sales, and administrative tasks at the same time?
Do you have reliable transportation and are you able to consistently commute to our Fairhaven, MA location?
Are you available evening hours for initial and ongoing staff training?
Are you willing and able to occasionally cover evening shifts at our Somerset, MA and/or Bristol, RI academies when needed?
Are you available to work ALL of the following permanent shifts every week?

Monday 9:00–11:30 AM, Wednesday 9:00–11:30 AM, and Saturday 9:00–11:30 AM.

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (Required)
Front desk: 1 year (Required)
