Full Job Description

2nd Shift CNC Lathe Operator

$22.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 2nd Shift (2 pm – 10 pm)

Uniparts Olsen, Inc. is hiring a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe Operator for our production facility in Eldridge, Iowa.

Uniparts Olsen in Eldridge, Iowa is a global manufacturer of precision steel components that support critical off-highway and industrial equipment worldwide.

What You’ll Do

Set up and operate modern CNC single-spindle lathes with bar feeders or chuck jaws
Load raw material and monitor the machining process
Ensure parts meet specifications and tight tolerances
Read and interpret blueprints and job orders
Perform in-process inspections using digital calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and other measuring tools
Complete in-process quality checks and real-time reporting
Pack finished parts for transfer to the next operation
Follow all safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out, PPE use, and emergency protocols
Maintain a clean and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

Hands-on CNC lathe operating experience (setup and troubleshooting strongly preferred)
Ability to read blueprints and perform math with fractions and decimals
Skilled in using precision measuring tools
Ability to run independently and make basic machine adjustments
Basic math skills
Stable work history
Strong safety mindset and dependable attendance
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift

This role is best suited for candidates with direct CNC experience (not general labor or machine tending only).
