Full Job Description

Busy, medical based Chiropractic office located within the Advent Health Park in Port Orange. We are seeking an experienced, positive, people oriented, and multi tasking Front Desk Position with a strong work ethic. The right candidate will perform on a daily basis: a variety of administrative, billing and clerical tasks. Our duties include offering administrative support across the organization. To be successful, you should have a pleasant personality and be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner. Contacting Insurance Companies for information and assisting Doctors with therapies, may be required. Ultimately, duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. Background in billing is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
Update calendars and schedule meetings
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Help with billing duties
Posting patient payments
Complete Records request (in and out going)
Understand this is a growing position and new tasks will be added

Skills

Billing knowledge
Health Insurance knowledge
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
Professional attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Customer service attitude
Personal Injury Background
High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
