Full Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

- Price Jobs from start to completion

- Estimating and take-off on new plan designs and custom homes

- Request, review, and evaluate cost estimates from suppliers and subcontractors

- Prepare estimates and purchase orders for each job based on budget, in a timely manner

- Understand the Scope of Work in order to bid jobs properly.

- Prepare cost analysis

- Manage bid pricing from all vendors

- Establish new relationships as needed and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors

- Order materials for jobs

- Responsible for subcontractor and vendor comparisons

- Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects

- Maintain current pricing for materials and labor costs

- Maintain current literature for vendors as related to color selection

- Securing samples from vendors for color selection

- Price change order items as needed

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements:

- 3+ years experience in construction estimating

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Applied Science, Civil Engineering or related field

- Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates

- Strong understanding of residential construction processes

- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel

- Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines

- Impeccable problem-solving skills'
