Position Summary:

The Compensation & Benefits Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders and HR Manager on total rewards programs. This role designs, implements, and consults on compensation and benefits solutions that support business objectives, talent strategy, and employee engagement while ensuring internal alignment, market competitiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership

· Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll administration, managing third-party vendors and overseeing HRIS operations to ensure system integrity, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement, while partnering with business leaders and HR management on compensation, benefits, workforce planning, and organizational design.

· Translate business needs into scalable total rewards solutions that support attraction, retention, and performance.

· Provide guidance on pay decision related to hiring, promotions, restructuring, and retention based on market research and benchmarks.

Benefits

· Provide strategic oversight and consultative support for employee benefits programs including health, welfare, retirement, and wellness offerings.

· Drive alignment of compensation and benefits strategies across the parent company and affiliated entities.

· Successfully integrate and manage multiple third party HRIS and vendor platforms.

· Partner with brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to evaluate benefits effectiveness, cost, and employee experience.

· Support open enrollment strategy, communications, and change management.

· Advise leaders and employees on benefit design implications and employee value propositions.

Compensation

· Lead compensation planning activities including annual merit, incentive, and bonus cycles under guidance from Executive Management Team.

· Evaluate roles and conduct market pricing using salary surveys and benchmarking tools.

· Develop and maintain job architectures, salary ranges, and compensation frameworks.

· Support pay equity analyses and remediation efforts in alignment with regulatory requirements.

· Prepare and present compensation recommendations, reports, and insights to leadership.

Compliance & Governance

· Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws (e.g. FLSA, ACA, COBRA, pay transparency and equity regulations).

· Partner with Legal, Finance, and HR Operations on audits, filings, and risk mitigation.

· Contribute to the development, maintenance, and communication of compensation and benefits policies and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

· 5-8 years of progressive experience managing payroll administration, compensation, benefits, or total rewards, including consultative or business-facing experience.

· Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when managing complex HRIS and payroll data, including identifying discrepancies, tracing root causes, and implementing corrective actions before issues impact employees, vendors, and stakeholders.

· Experience managing third party benefits providers – wordsmith this

· Strong Working knowledge of HRIS, compensation structures, benefits programs, and employment laws.

· Proven ability to influence and advise leaders using data-driven insights.

· Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday & UKG) and Excel (e.g., modeling, analytics, reporting).

· Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

· High degree of integrity and discretion with confidential information.
