Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant/Tax Preparer (CPA or Enrolled Agent) to join our financial team.

This position offers full-time employment from January to April (40-50 hours per week) and part-time employment from May to December (16 hours per week); annual compensation ranges from $60,000 to $100,000, depending on experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and supporting various accounting functions. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex tax scenarios, including estate planning, corporate tax, and individual filings, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and regulatory adherence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of financial services and develop your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations with precision and attention to detail.
Conduct thorough tax research on current laws such as tax law updates, and regulatory compliance accounting standards like GAAP
Perform comprehensive financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy across all financial records.
Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements by preparing detailed schedules for tax return submission while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive client information.

Skills

A CPA or Enrolled Agent license is required.
Extensive knowledge of tax compliance procedures including individual tax return preparation, corporation, partnership, trust and non-profit tax expertise.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software like Ultra Tax, QuickBooks, Sage.
Effective client communication skills for explaining technical accounting issues clearly and professionally.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
