Full Job Description

Immediate direct hire opening for an accounting professional to join the accounting department for growing business located in Dothan, Al. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and overall financials.

Key Responsibilities

Process and maintain accounts payable transactions.
Manage and monitor accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
Match vendor invoices to bills and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and proper payment processing.
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.
Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, freight charges, and customer accounts.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Work collaboratively with another accountant and other departments to support accounting operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Handle sensitive financial information with a high level of confidentiality.

Minimum of 2 years related work experience in an accounting role required

Bachelor's degree required

This position offers a Monday- Friday 8-5 schedule or an option for rotating Friday off schedule.
