Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist to join our team in Clearwater, FL. This role requires hands-on proficiency in both payables and receivables functions, with the ability to manage the full AP/AR cycle independently. The ideal candidate is local to the Clearwater area, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings proven experience managing vendor relationships, customer billing, and month-end close activities.

Accounts Payable

Process vendor invoices accurately and in accordance with company policies and payment terms
Review and match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (3-way match)
Support weekly check runs and general AP process
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain and update vendor records, W-9s, and 1099 documentation
Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and account issues
Assist with month-end AP close, including accruals and aging report review

Accounts Receivable

Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on schedule
Support the management of the AR aging report; escalate past-due accounts as needed
Process customer payments checks and credit cards
Perform cash application and reconcile customer accounts
Follow up on outstanding balances via phone and email; maintain professional customer relationships
Support month-end AR close, including reporting and reconciliation

General Accounting & Administrative

Assist with external audits by providing documentation and supporting schedules
Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline AP/AR workflows
Support the accounting team with ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned
Support filing and organization of all paperwork used in both the AP and AR Process.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Education:

Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

AP/AR: 3 years (Required)

Ability to Commute:

Clearwater, FL 33760 (Required)
