Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Regional Business Development Manager professional to drive growth and expand our market presence across the United States. This role involves building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, business development, and strategic planning, with a strong understanding of CRM software and marketing strategies to support regional expansion.
Important: This is a high-travel sales position requiring approximately 70% travel across the territory. The successful candidate should expect to travel most weeks, including frequent overnight stays, and spend significant time meeting customers in person.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies tailored to the East Coast market to increase sales and market share.
- Identify and cultivate new client relationships through networking, outreach, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage existing customer accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth opportunities.
- Utilize Salesforce and other CRM software to track leads, manage pipelines, and analyze sales data for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that support regional growth initiatives.
- Lead negotiations and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Coordinate with project management teams to oversee the implementation of new business initiatives and client onboarding processes.
- Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the region.
- Prepare detailed reports on regional performance metrics, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or sales within a B2B environment, preferably in related industries.
- Strong proficiency with Salesforce CRM and other CRM software tools for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines.
- Excellent skills in sales, negotiation, strategic planning, and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop long-term client relationships through effective communication and customer service.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and experience working closely with marketing teams on campaign development.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
