Giles Engineering Associates, Inc. (Giles) is a leading provider of Geotechnical, Construction Materials Testing, and Environmental services. Giles is looking to expand our geotechnical engineering department and actively seeking an entry-level Geotechnical Engineer or Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Waukesha, Wisconsin team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Coordination and communication with the field and laboratory personnel throughout project completion
Oversee field and laboratory services and analyze data and findings
Client communication throughout the duration of the project, including time and expense management
Writing and review of technical reports, specifications, and construction plans
Development of appropriate foundation and site-related Geotechnical recommendations
Writing and Review of Proposals

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ideally, previous field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction
Professional demeanor
Strong time management and organizational skills
Self-motivated, driven, and positive personality, with a great work ethic
Ability to work independently and with others

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical emphasis or Geological Engineering
0 to 5 years of experience under a geotechnical engineer
