ShowFab is seeking motivated Technical Detailers who are excited by the challenge of turning ambitious ideas into physical reality. The Technical Detailer position at ShowFab handles:

Assisting the Technical Design team in producing fabrication drawings and organized drawing packages.
Utilizing CAD/CAM and other software to support fabrication solutions for a team of highly skilled and dedicated craftsmen.
Supporting the development of 3D models, assemblies, and Bills of Materials.
Updating drawing packages based on internal reviews and redline markups.
Assisting with CNC-ready geometry preparation and basic CAM workflows.
Coordinating with Project Management, Production, CNC, Graphics, and Scenic departments.
Maintaining organized Vault file structures and revision control.
Supporting field measurements, documentation, and survey integration as needed.
Learning modern fabrication workflows involving CNC Routers, Lasers, Press Brakes, and related technologies.

The ideal candidate has:

Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate.
Familiarity with CAD software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Rhino, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
Proficiency in standard Microsoft, Adobe, Google, and Slack work suites.
Interest in fabrication techniques, construction methods, and production workflows.
Practical shop or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required.
Candidates from technical schools, vocational programs, maker spaces, theater tech programs, or fabrication-focused backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Desire to grow within a fast-paced Technical Design department.

Job Type: Full-Time Hourly
Salary Range: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
