Join Nelson & Wealth Management Company, a dynamic financial advisory firm dedicated to helping clients secure their financial futures. We host regular educational community workshops to connect with clients, and we pride ourselves on delivering a professional, seamless, and high-touch experience from the very first interaction.

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant will oversee our community Workshop Program from start to finish. This role offers the flexibility of working from home for daily administrative tasks, combined with vital in-person event execution. Please note: While daily work is remote, you must live within commuting distance of the Greater Kansas City area to attend 2 to 6 evening workshops per month in person to manage onsite execution and schedule client appointments.

Core Responsibilities

Logistics Management: Secure and book physical meeting venues for all scheduled community workshops.
Marketing Collaboration: Coordinate directly with our marketing program partners to align event promotions.
Event Preparation: Assemble, organize, and double-check all physical and digital workshop materials before events.
Onsite Execution: Attend 2 to 6 evening workshops monthly across the Kansas City metro (e.g., Olathe, KS, Leavenworth, KS, and Lee's Summit, MO) to manage sign-ins, greet guests, and handle logistics.
Client Scheduling: Interface with attendees post-seminar to successfully book follow-up financial consultations.
Data Integrity: Input workshop attendance metrics, results, and finalized appointments into the company CRM system.
Administrative Support: Assist the primary Office Administrator with ad-hoc clerical tasks and daily office duties.

Required Qualifications

Location & Travel: Must reside in or near the Greater Kansas City area with reliable transportation to travel to evening workshops in Olathe, Leavenworth, Lee's Summit, and surrounding communities.
Education: High School diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent secondary education.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven success in general office administration, event coordination, or clerical roles.
Software Proficiency: Mastery of word processing, spreadsheet tracking, PowerPoint presentations, and email systems.
Data Accuracy: High level of precision in data entry and managing client database information.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for high-stakes client phone calls and email correspondence.
Task Management: Strong time management, self-motivation, and the ability to seamlessly balance multiple deadlines.
Confidentiality: Absolute discretion and strict adherence to privacy when handling sensitive financial and client data.

Employment Details

Work Arrangement: Work from Home / Remote (with required local evening travel for monthly workshops across the KC metro area).
Compensation: Hourly pay (dependent on experience).

Schedule: Flexible daytime administrative hours combined with 2 to 6 required evening event shifts per month.Job Overview
