About Revo Brands

Revo Brands is a growth-oriented consumer goods company, who’s mission is to build and operate a portfolio of distinctive product brands and are committed to operational excellence, financial discipline, and sustainable growth.

Position Summary

The Corporate Controller is the top accounting executive at Revo Brands, responsible for the integrity of all financial reporting, the efficiency of the accounting function, and the internal controls that protect company assets. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role that partners directly with the CFO and senior leadership team to support strategic decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Close

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process — driving accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Deliver financial reporting packages to senior leadership with variance analysis and commentary.
Manage the annual audit and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
Ensure all tax filings (federal, state, local, sales/use) are accurate and on time, coordinating with external tax advisors.

Accounting

Lead and develop the accounting team (AP, AR, GL, payroll).
Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts; oversee all journal entries and account reconciliations.
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury operations.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections processes.
Administer payroll and ensure compliance with all applicable employment tax requirements.

Human Resources & People Operations

Serve as the company's primary point of accountability for core HR administration, given the absence of a dedicated HR department.
Own end-to-end payroll administration in partnership with the payroll provider, including new hire setup, terminations, garnishments, and off-cycle payments.
Administer employee benefits programs — health, dental, vision, and 401(k) — including open enrollment, vendor relationships, and reconciliation of benefits invoices to payroll deductions.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment law, including wage-and-hour (FLSA), employee classification (exempt/non-exempt, contractor vs. employee), and required workplace postings/notices.
Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data with accuracy and appropriate confidentiality.
Draft, maintain, and update employee handbook, HR policies, and procedures in line with current employment law.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics (paperwork, benefits enrollment, system access, exit processes) in partnership with department managers.
Support recruiting and hiring administration, including offer letters, background checks, and compensation benchmarking.
Manage workers' compensation insurance and coordinate any claims or audits.

Controls & Compliance

Design, implement, and monitor robust internal controls across the organization.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting requirements, and company policies.
Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
Serve as point of contact for banking covenants, insurance renewals, and lender reporting.

Strategic Finance Partnership

Partner with the CEO and leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
Provide financial analysis to support pricing, margin improvement, capital allocation, and M&A diligence.
Build and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools that give leadership actionable insight.
Support ERP administration and lead future system improvement initiatives.
Evaluate and improve finance processes to scale the function as the company grows.

QualificationsRequired

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA required.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
Demonstrated experience owning the full accounting cycle and close at a $20M+ revenue company.
Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage, SAP, or similar); advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
Working knowledge of core human resources practices, including payroll compliance, wage-and-hour law, employee classification, and benefits administration.
Proven ability to build and lead a small team.

Preferred

Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm).
Experience in consumer goods, retail, or multi-brand environments.
Familiarity with inventory accounting and COGS analysis.
Experience supporting PE-backed or investor-reporting environments.
MBA or additional advanced degree.
HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) or prior experience directly overseeing an HR function.

Compensation & Benefits

Revo Brands offers a competitive total compensation package commensurate with experience:

Base Salary: $135,000 – $160,000
Annual Performance Bonus: 10% of base salary, tied to company and individual goals
Equity / Profit Participation: Eligible based on role scope and company performance
