We develop customized uniform programs for organizations across the nation by leveraging a vast trusted supplier network, coupled with our in-house embroidery and tailoring services. We pride ourselves on the great relationships that we have built with our customer during the decades we have served them and are now looking to expand that team.
We are looking for a Tailor/Seamstress to work full time 5 days out of the week (store hours are Monday through Friday 9-5:30 pm) and every other Saturday (store hours 9:00 am to 1:30 pm) at our Vista, CA Location.
General Job Description:
As a Tailor/Seamstress you will deliver excellent artisanship, service, and turnaround time to our customers. Each day you will be responsible for the order workload in the tailoring department, while also taking immediate walk-in orders throughout the day. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe production workplace. Occasionally you will work on special projects assigned by the Vista Operations Managers.
What you will be doing:
- Tailor all garments and items that come in from front of house
- Ensure the proper fit of garments
- Answer customer questions as needed
- Mark, measure and cut garments for tailoring
- Maintain an open dialogue with management
- Help other team members within your location
- Help to keep the tailoring area clean and organized
- Make sure that customers are properly sized
- Hems pants, sewing of patches, alter sleeve lengths, opening and closing of garments, adding zippers to shirts and any other minor alterations.
- Assists with embroidery trimming when needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Customer first attitude
- Natural curiosity to learn new processes, systems, and products
- Must be able to read / understand basic English instructions and understand and speak basic English
- Comfortable in a changing environment
- Self-organized
- 3 or more years of experience working with
- Overlock machine
- Blind stich machine
- Single needle machine
- Industrial steam iron
- Scissors, seam ripper and measuring tape
- Ability to work Mon-Fri 9:00-5:30 and rotating Saturdays from 9am to 2pm
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualification - not required, but nice to have:
- 3+ years working in a tailoring role
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Experience working in the uniform industry
- Experience customer interfacing

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
