The Dock Lead / Warehouse Worker is responsible for coordinating daily dock activities while supporting warehouse operations to ensure food is received, staged, and distributed safely and efficiently. This hands-on role serves as the central point of coordination for agency pickups, food donations, and warehouse distributions, helping keep products moving accurately and on schedule.

What You’ll DoDock Operations
· Coordinate daily dock activities, including track orders for agency pickups and delivery routes.
· Direct incoming agency vehicles, food donors, and food drive deliveries to the appropriate loading and unloading areas.
· Safely load agency orders using warehouse equipment while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
· Complete and process all required paperwork accurately and on time.
· Stage products for Produce Express, Military Share, DoorDash, CSFP, and other Second Harvest distributions.
· Demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with agencies, donors, volunteers, and visitors.
· Manage the inventory of Food Rescue products and ensure the products are distributed fairly, equitably, and in accordance with established allocation guidelines to maximize community impact.
· Maintain organization of the dock and back wall isle.
Warehouse Operations
· Verify completed orders for accuracy and wrap pallets for shipment.
· Safely operate warehouse equipment, including jitneys and hand jacks.
· Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
· Help maintain safety around the SHFB grounds
· Assist with warehouse setup, equipment movement, and facility organization.
· Provide backup support for cold storage as needed.
Food Safety & Team Support
· Follow all Feeding America, USDA, Department of Health, and Second Harvest food safety and product handling requirements.
· Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to ensure efficient product flow throughout the facility.
· Support warehouse operations and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
What You’ll Bring
· At least two years of warehouse or related experience.

· Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
· Willingness to work flexible hours when operational needs require.
Education & Experience
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Customer service experience required, with the ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with neighbors, volunteers, agencies, community partners, and internal staff.
· Minimum of two years of warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or related experience preferred.
Certificates & Requirements
· Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
· Jitney Driver License (or ability to obtain).
Physical Demands
· Frequently stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the warehouse.
· Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
· Ability to safely work in refrigerated, freezer, and outdoor environments.
· Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
