Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Faculty Family Medicine Physician to join our esteemed academic medical center on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will deliver comprehensive patient care within a family medicine setting, contribute to innovative clinical training programs, and engage in scholarly activities that advance medical knowledge. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals while ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical practice, teaching, research, and curriculum development in a vibrant academic environment committed to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care across a broad spectrum of family medicine cases, including acute and chronic conditions, preventive health, and health education.
Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and other healthcare trainees during clinical rotations and training sessions.
Develop and update curriculum materials for family medicine courses, integrating innovative learning technologies such as LMS (Learning Management System) platforms like Blackboard.
Conduct clinical research and participate in clinical trials related to family medicine, oncology, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), pediatrics, neurology, internal medicine, and other relevant specialties.
Publish research articles in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national conferences to contribute to the advancement of medical science.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and support clinical training initiatives in diverse settings including hospital, outpatient clinics, and community health environments.
Review documentation for compliance with accreditation standards and assist in securing research funding through grant applications.

Experience

Proven experience in family medicine practice with a strong background in patient care across diverse populations.
Supervising experience in clinical or educational settings is highly desirable.
Demonstrated expertise in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, pathology, diagnostic radiology, anesthesiology, psychiatry, oncology, radiology, pediatrics, neurology, critical care, adult education, public health, laboratory experience, and clinical instruction.
Experience working within higher education institutions or university settings is preferred.
Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Blackboard or similar online instruction tools for curriculum delivery and assessment.
Background in medical research including securing research funding and publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals related to clinical research or medical topics.
Hands-on clinic experience in acute care environments with proficiency in documentation review and hospital-based patient management.
Working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds to foster an inclusive learning environment is essential.
